How would you describe your job to someone who doesn’t work in sales?

In my role, I focus on building and nurturing relationships with clients to understand their advertising goals and challenges better. I collaborate with them to identify and implement customized solutions using Cognitiv’s suite of products. My main goal is to ensure that our solutions effectively enhance their advertising campaigns, driving meaningful results and real value. 

Can you share a bit about your background and how you landed at Cognitv?

Before working here, I was a media buyer at Universal McCann for 5 years. I learned about Cognitiv when my now-manager reached out to discuss their technology’s capabilities. About a month later, I joined the Cognitiv team!

What is your favorite part of your role at Cognitv?

One of the things I love about my role is the chance to dive deep into cutting-edge technology and AI solutions that are revolutionizing the future of advertising. It’s incredibly rewarding to not only work with these innovations firsthand but also to have the opportunity to educate buyers on the value they bring to their media buys. These are the kinds of offerings I wish I had access to when I was a buyer.

Which of Cognitv’s brand pillars resonates with you the most and why?

Our partnership pillar resonates with me the most. I aim to build meaningful relationships with my clients and provide them with the best service possible because I know what it’s like to be a buyer, and relationships built on trust and transparency go a long way!

Can you share an accomplishment or project you are most proud of from your time at Cognitiv? Tell us about it.

One of my proudest moments at Cognitiv was bringing in my first deal within four months of starting my role. As I mentioned, before joining the team here, I was a media buyer for five years, so naturally, switching careers was incredibly intimidating. Bringing in that first deal helped me gain confidence as a first-time seller.

Who inspires you the most within the Cogntiv team?

Dani Swanson is an absolute rockstar. She has such a positive impact on the company, the sales team, and myself. She has an incredible understanding of the industry and always offers a helping hand to those around her.
