Pronouns: She/Her
Role: Director, Client Success
Team: Client Success
Cognitiv Tenure: 1 year
How would you describe your job to someone who doesn’t work in customer success?
I manage a team of client success managers who are responsible for campaign performance and client management.
Can you share a bit about your background and how you landed at Cognitv?
I’ve been working in digital media for 10+ years, and most recently was at Warner Bros. Discovery, where I also oversaw a team of client success managers (CSMs). But, I missed working on programmatic media — specifically how quickly the industry moves and how creative and strategic you can be with executing and running campaigns. I also missed the vibrant energy of a start-up, so Cognitiv just checked all the boxes for what I was looking for in my next move.
What is your favorite part of your role at Cognitv?
I love that I have autonomy at Cognitiv, allowing me to have a real influence on the company’s direction and growth. I definitely feel empowered to be innovative, collaborate with teams someone in my role doesn’t typically get the chance to work with, and really take ownership over my projects and see my ideas come to fruition, which is incredibly fulfilling.
Which of Cognitv’s brand pillars resonates with you the most and why?
Partnership. Partnership truly is what drives the success of Cognitiv for me and for my team. Whether internally or externally, it’s these relationships that I need to foster and grow to help everyone involved succeed.
Can you share an accomplishment or project that you are most proud of from your time at Cognitiv? Tell us about it.
In my first year at Cognitiv, I have worked to double the size of my team from 2 people to 11 by 1H’24 — building out the client success function. This has been a massive undertaking that included defining roles and responsibilities, career development, resources, and best practices. I’m really excited to watch the CS team grow and thankful that Cognitiv has allowed and encouraged me to grow my team!
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?
“Be tough on the problem, not people.”
What is one podcast/social account/series you’d recommend?
I love the podcast Smartless, and right now I am absolutely stuck on Love is Blind Season 6.
Let’s end with a fun fact! Tell us something unique about you – maybe your Astrology sign, a talent, your favorite vacation spot, etc.
My favorite vacation spot, and hopefully retirement destination, is Spain.
